OUR ZERO WASTE MISSION
At Marlei it is important to us that we eliminate as much of our carbon footprint as possible. We can promise you that we are doing all that we can to recycle any leftover materials, whether that be textiles and fabrics, boxing, or plastic of any sort. We make sure that we are outsourcing our trash to resource-able local businesses.
Sustainably made, our swimwear at Marlei is made from Repreve, a 100% recycled polyester-fiber material. Generated entirely from post-consumer plastic water bottles.
Repreve fabric is certified by Oeko-Tex, SCS ad GRS. This fabric is free of BPA, PFOS, PFOA, heavy metals, lead, phthalates, and dioxins. Also free of DnOP, DIDP, DINP, DHEP, BBP, DBP and DIDP.
BIODEGRADABLE PACKAGING
All of our packaging at Marlei is biodegradable. Our individual product bags + mailers are both biodegradable and compostable, and are made from PLA, PBAT, and corn starch. This means that when you throw away your bags after receiving your orders, they will compost naturally by being broken down by nature and microorganisms. We will always invest in taking care of our beautiful planet, she sure deserves it.
Using sustainable, resource-able, and eco-friendly materials and fabric is very important to us. If there is a sustainable option we will always implement this into our individual pieces and collections.
