Founder of Marlei, Margaret Leisgang, started her brand with the sole vision of creating eloquent styles sustainably and combining them with her own patterns and designs. Marlei, based in Cincinnati, was the mere product of Margaret transitioning her career from painting on canvas to implementing her designs digitally. Having previously gone to school for Fashion Merchandising, she has had a long time passion for clothing and an even deeper appreciation for the feminine physique. Unable to graduate college because of her health issues that span over the course of half her life, Margaret turned to art and spirituality to cope with her debilitating pain. Her five brain surgeries and the death of her brother brought tremendous tribulations to her life, but ultimately has allowed her to find incredible depth and healing on a soul level. Her designs are a true symbol of the peace she has found internally, and the hardships she has overcome.
